You are in a public bathroom, perhaps one in a retail store. You accidentally drop your cell phone down the toilet. Do you fish it out? If you can’t, or won’t, do you tell an employee of the establishment that owns the restroom?

i would do my best to fish it out, in the vain hope that a) it might still work and b) it’s not all covered in poop. then wash my hands, and the phone (hell, it’s already wet, right?) vigorously. and not tell a soul.
